Over the past few weeks, our Advanced Animal Science students have been honing their soft skills—essential interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, and adaptability—by teaching interactive lessons about animals to elementary students. Throughout this experience, the younger students learned about various breeds, interesting facts, diets, and living environments of chickens, pigs, horses, dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, and goats!
Each elementary class received two lessons, each taught by a different high school student covering a unique animal topic. This hands-on learning opportunity was an exciting and engaging experience for both the elementary and high school students.
