The 2nd graders' and preschoolers' created their own balloons to showcase in their rendition of the Macy's Day Parade. Students learned about the origination of the parade and the organization it takes for this parade to be available for all to watch on Thanksgiving Day.
Preschoolers used cut out balloons and colored them for their "float" in the parade.
The 2nd graders used tin foil and decorated it with permanent markers. The tin foil was then laminated and they used straws in a tiny hole in the bottom to inflate their balloons for the parade. It works so well and they had a lot of fun!
